Holiday Cheer Sangria

Egg nog may be synonymous with holiday spirits, but why not change up your party’s yuletide refreshment this year? Thankfully, we have you covered with this easy to make and almost too pretty to drink sangria! It takes about an hour or two to make, so you have time to enjoy a glass in peace before the guests arrive.

Cranberry & Rosemary White Christmas Sangria (via Bay Area Bites)

Ingredients:
2 apples, 1 granny smith and 1 braeburn
1 heaping cup of fresh cranberries
1 large sprig of fresh rosemary, extra for garnish
1 bottle of Pinot Grigio
1/2 cup of white grape juice
1/4 cup of sugar, more for garnish
1 can of club soda

Instructions:
1. First you need to chop up the apples; it works best if you chop them into small cubes.
2. In a large pitcher, combine all of the ingredients.
3. Mix all the ingredients together well so the sugar dissolves.
4. After mixing well, place the pitcher in the refrigerator to chill. During this time the sugar will
fully dissolve and the rosemary will infuse your sangria. Don’t be afraid of the rosemary in your
sangria; it helps cut down the sweetness level, making your drink more enjoyable!
5. If you want to get really creative while the sangria is chilling, you can make the rosemary
garnish.
6. Since we are making a Christmas drink, why not add some festive greenery? Place about 1/2 cup
of granulated sugar in a shallow bowl or plate. Lightly wet the rosemary sprigs and shake off any
excess water. Roll the rosemary in the sugar bowl and voila! Watch your back, Martha Stewart;
these are some classy looking drinks.
7. Once the pitcher of sangria has chilled for an hour or two, it will be ready to serve. How easy was that?

How do you Holiday?

How do you Holiday? Here at Pink Palm, we all swoon over the holidays and the festivities that come along. Of course, during the cold winter months we all wonder, "How long ‘til summer?" For now, however, let’s spike the punch and have ourselves some mistletoe mischief! Our own rituals and traditions make our holiday season unique and memorable. We all have different influences and details that make it so special such as; holiday décor, planning the perfect party, attending Galas, family events, and so much more. That being said, we wanted to hear your stories, ideas, and most of all, “How do you Holiday?”

“How I holiday is decorating my tree with my family right after thanksgiving while watching my favorite Christmas movies, The Holiday and The Grinch. After my family holiday party on Christmas Eve, my mom and I wear matching pajamas and get to open one present each.”

"How I holiday is always finding the perfect ornament with five spaces to fit each one of my family member’s names. We love getting the perfect Christmas cards and preparing for them with silly and funny pictures. One of my favorite traditions is opening one Christmas Eve gift with my siblings which are always matching pajamas!”

“How I holiday is baking Christmas cookies while decorating the tree with my family. On Christmas Eve, it is a tradition that we have a family dinner and go to our church Christmas Eve service. Every year after church we all sit down and watch It’s a Wonderful Life!”
