Sparks Fly this 4th of July!

There will be a few times throughout the summer to rock this red, white and blue print. Not only will "Sparks Fly" be perfect for the Fourth of July, this print shows your American pride. Throw it on and head out to your favorite spot to cheer on USA as they take on Belgium tomorrow in the World Cup! Not into the whole soccer scene? It will be perfect for that Labor Day barbecue with the family or a nice boat outing with friends.

Wanna know a secret? Both the dress and shorts in this print glow in the dark!  When charged by sunlight the fireworks will light up the night, literally. You'll be the talk of the town! Looking for something a little more basic?  These lipstick pink shorts are the perfect substitution for red this year! Pair them with a white or blue top and you are just as patriotic as the next girl.

Old Town's Grand Re-Opening

On May 17, Pink Palm Alexandria celebrated their Grand Re-Opening in a brand new, larger space!  The party started at 10 am when the Lilly jeep arrived on the scene, stopping people in their tracks on King Street. Once the doors opened the first stop was our very own Juice Stand, which served homemade lemonade and a variety of juices for mimosas, as well as cupcakes from Alexandria Cupcake

The first lucky 25 customers were given the chance to pop a balloon for a free mystery gift to take home with their purchase.  For those who were not able to make it to the Pink Palm bright and early, guests were able to enter to win two different raffle gifts throughout the day. One prize was a framed Lilly print in "Elephant Ears" and the other was a tote in "Mai Tai" filled with coordinating goodies.

Wondering what happened to our old Pink Palm location? Our brother store, Natty Beau, moved in and had their Grand Opening on the same day!  To make it one big party we set up a game of corn hole between the two stores! Natty Beau's festivities included mystery gifts, raffles, and giveaways, but the best part was having Southern Proper founder, Emmie Howard, and Director of Special Programs, Dahlia Bennett, join in on the celebrations!

A special thanks to Julien and Heather, of It's Julien and Pineapples and Pearls, for stopping by and featuring our event on their blogs!

Make-A-Wish Fashion Show 2014

A few weeks ago, The Pink Palm joined forces with Make-A-Wish for the annual Tickled Pink Fashion Show. The ballroom at the Fairmont Hotel was turned into pink and green paradise! Lilly-loving ladies (and gentlemen!) of all ages came out for a morning of fun, philanthropy, and fashion! While the mother-daughter model pairs prepared for the runway show, attendees explored the silent auction items, shopped for the perfect Mother's Day gift from the Pink Palm table, and snapped a few goofy photos with their friends in the photo booth. The models made their way down the runway in the Pink Palm's latest fashions, reminding us all that matching with your mom has never looked so good!

Every year a contest is held for the most vintage Lilly. This year there was so much competition, multiple winners were named!

Featured below are our Bethesda Palmettes, Meghan and Annie, taking a break from working the Pink Palm table to enjoy the event!

Local newcasters Lesli Foster, Eun Yang and Angie Goff were among this year's models, while NBC 4 Chief Meteorologist, Doug Kammerer emcee-ed the event.
